Dinner Parties

Remember waking up on July 1 st 2007 and realising The Traditional English Pub had changed possibly forever! It was no longer a place where you could indulge in legal habits and chat with friends without having to embrace the weather to indulge in the smoking habit of 10, 20, 30 or even longer. Well us at the “Cough and Splutter” have tried to re-create the atmosphere sadly only once a month, with a Bar, Darts, Live Music Pub Quiz and Real Ale on tap. The Cough and Splutter is in affect a Private Party in a private home open to the Public. We also raise money for local Charities! How we have done it is as follows the event is advertised around the local area, on the Thursday before the Friday Event the sign goes up on a Thursday and The Real Ale is tapped. The rules are as follows People arrive with their favourite tipple and hand it over at the bar and are expected to donate 20p to a local charity. Listen to a live band Have fun. Since we started in July 2007, we have raised the best part of £500 for charity and had some fun on the way with Conker Competitions, organised traditional pub games and some not so traditional ones.

We have also hosted the “The local drinking club with a Chess Problem” once a month and the occasional Dinner Party all profits to Charity.
